Tropical Storm Chantal Dissapates, Itineraries Still Affected

Tropical Storm Chantal was expected to grow into a hurricane but luckily, she has started to die down. All storm warning and all storm watches have been disbanded, leaving rain and winds behind but no threat of tropical storm-force storms. Heavy rain is still in effect for Jamaica, the Domican Republic and Haiti.

Carnival Cruise Lines has had to alter three of their scheduled cruises. The Carnival Freedom replaced Cozumel instead of Ocho Rios to avoid the heavy rain affecting the area.

Carnival Liberty had to overhaul their entire schedule to work around the storm. From Miami they will stop in Half Moon Cay, San Juan, Grand Turk and then onto Nassua. They had to make port in Nassau instead of St. Thomas.

All cruises from July 13th on should remain unaffected but check your reservations or call the cruise line directly for more information.
