Carnival deploys third ship in Texas

Carnival Cruise Lines is placing a third ship in Galveston, TX starting February 2015. Currently Carnival Magic and Carnival Triumph sail regularly from the port, offering 4, 5 and 7-day cruises along the Western and Eastern Caribbean. By adding Carnival Freedom, Carnival will be the first company to sail from Texas all year round.

The 2,974-passenger Carnival Freedom comes from Fort Lauderdale, FL and will offer 4, 5, 7-day cruises along the Western Caribbean, as well as a 7-day cruise to the Eastern Caribbean that includes:

-         Key West, FL; Freeport and Nassau, the Bahamas.

The 7-day Western Caribbean cruise includes:

-         Montego Bay, Jamaica; Grand Caiman, Caiman Islands and Cozumel, Mexico.

Carnival Magic offers several options for a 7-day cruise in the Western Caribbean:

-         Cozumel, Mexico; Grand Caiman, Caiman Islands and Montego Bay, Jamaica

-         Mahogany Bay, Isla Roatan; Belize; Cozumel, Mexico.

The 7-day Eastern Caribbean cruise on Carnival Magic sails to:

-         Key West, FL; Freeport, the Bahamas and Nassau, the Bahamas.

Carnival Triumph offers 4, 5 and 7-day cruises in the Western Caribbean and a 7-day cruise in the Eastern Caribbean.  

The 7-day cruises on Carnival Triumph are identical to those offered on Carnival Magic and Carnival Freedom. The 4-day Western Caribbean cruise on Carnival Triumph sails to Cozumel, Mexico, while the 5-day one includes Progreso, Yucatan, Mexico as well.

In Fort Lauderdale, Carnival Freedom will be replaced by Carnival Conquest, which will be relocating from Miami, FL.
