New Cruise Ship Activities Offered

Many of the cruise lines sailing today are feeling the effects of past events. With a growing number of people hesitant to cruise, cruise lines are stepping up to the plate and offering more for the same price or even less.

Princess Cruise Lines is rolling out their newest ship, Royal Princess, and with it comes an all-glass walkway. Located on the starboard side of the ship, this walkway gives you a whole new view of the water surrounding you. It's 60 feet long and over 120 feet above the water.

Royal Caribbean is coming out with a completely revamped activities list as well as great on-board features including the balcony simulator for inside cabins. Recognizing how cramped the small rooms can feel, they've created a simulator of what the sea around you would look like and it plays on a continuous loop. What Royal Caribbean has really focused on is the on-board activities. They have implemented a sky diving simulator, a bumper car rink, basketball courts and even a circus school.

Holland America is offering meet and greet with Dancing With The Stars celebrities. There will even be photo opportunities and a full staged production featuring the dancers.

With so many new things to do, the cruise industry might make a new recovery.
